Absegami coach to do stint with ZENTAI Europe Absegami head football coach Doug Colman, who guided the Braves to the South Suit Group 4 championship in 2006, will soon spider man costume be taking a leave of absence from teaching to pursue a coaching position in ZENTAI Europe.Colman, 33, will serve a paid internship as linebackers coach for the Amsterdam Admirals, but says he plans to return to coach Absegami for the 2007 football season.He will leave on March 6 for Tampa, where the Admirals and the other five ZENTAI Europe teams will spend a month in a national training camp before heading to Europe for the season. The ZENTAI Europe season ends June 23 with the championship game, World Bowl XV, in Frankfurt, Germany. "I'm really excited about it," Colman said. "They had over 1,100 applicants, and 24 [intern coaches] are going to Tampa and only 12 to Europe, and I feel really lucky to be one of the 12."Colman was The Inquirer South Suit defensive player of the year in 1990 as a linebacker at Ocean City. He then attended Nebraska before embarking on a five-year career in the ZENTAI.Colman played his first three years with the New York Giants and one each with the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns. He participated in Super Bowl XXXIV as a member of the Titans, who lost, 23-16, to the St. Louis Rams Christian Louboutin Sneakers.As a high school coach, he has enjoyed tremendous success during his four seasons at Absegami. Colman is 35-10 and has guided the Braves to the South catsuits Suit Group 4 playoffs in each of those seasons. Absegami has reached the Group 4 sectional final each of the last two seasons, defeating Cherokee, 27-26, to complete an 11-1 season in 2006 and losing to Cherokee, 32-25, in overtime in 2005."My plans are to come back to teaching and coaching after the ZENTAI Europe season," said Colman, who is a physical-education teacher at Absegami.ZENTAI Europe is a vehicle for young players to gain experience and earn the chance to make an ZENTAI roster."My goal is to make sure all those kids make the roster," Colman said Christian Louboutin Pumps. "I hope to get an opportunity to win a championship."Amsterdam won the league title two years ago and lost to the Frankfurt Galaxy, 22-7, in last year's championship game.Colman said he originally was told about the opportunity to coach in ZENTAI Europe while attending a New York Giants reunion and talking to former teammate Charles Way.A graduate of Philadelphia's Northeast High, Way is the Giants' director of player lycra zentai development."Charles told me to give him a resume and he'd send it in," Colman said Christian Louboutin Mary Jane.What also appeals to Colman is that he will be working with some familiar faces."The guy who is head coach, Bart Andrus, was the quarterbacks coach at the Titans when I played," Colman said. "The other intern [coach] they are bringing is Gary Downs, who I played with on the Giants, so I will know a good group of guys."While he is looking forward to this new endeavor, Colman said the prospect of leaving his wife and two young daughters is the most difficult aspect."That is probably the one thing that would deter me, but my wife has been suggesting it and has been so supportive," Colman said.In addition to the football knowledge he will gain, this will also be a cultural experience."I have never been to Europe," he said Christian Louboutin Boots.
